		<description>i agree with you sis. i hope people with certain illness would wear such medical id tags. i haven't seen one yet. and it is indeed helpful. good for your friend with diabetes type 1 to wear one. making such condition an example - with regular administration of insulin in the body, there's a risk of hypoglycemic episodes - at the mall, church, or resto - which can be life-threatening if not attended to immediately. with the medical id bracelet, people around the patient would know what might cause her weakness and diaphoresis. a lifesaver may be present - with a glass of orange juice or hard candy. :) 

problem though, as you said, everything now is hip and cool. might sound pessimistic but possible. living in a country where imitation is such a growing trend... well, no need to say more. :)
